There are many reasons why parents choose Birkenhead School for their child's education:

Class sizes - smaller class sizes that allows each student to be known and nurtured.

Beyond the Curriculum - a curriculum that goes beyond the National Curriculum to truly inspire a love of learning - read more ...;

Outstanding Opportunities - including our Inspiring Talks Series - read more ...;

A warm and welcoming School community - that allows your student to grow and develop, fully supported at every stage, through to Sixth Form and the wider alumni network.

At Birkenhead School we offer a vast range of co-curricular activities across Music, Drama and Sport, all of which are designed to inspire creativity, encourage self-discipline and develop leadership.

Music plays an important role in School life, with many students taking roles within the various choirs, bands, orchestras and other ensembles.

Sports play an important role within Seniors, with students representing the School in weekly fixtures and competitions.

Drama - students have the opportunity to take part in drama productions during the year from leading roles to assisting behind the scenes.

"Attending an independent school adds the equivalent of two additional years of schooling by the age of 16 and almost one additional grade at GCSE".
