This morning we were delighted to announce the winners of our 'National Poetry Day' competition. Congratulations to all of the winners who each received a very special copy of 'The Wizards of Once' personally signed by the author, Cressida Cowell. Prep pupils were asked to write a poem entitled 'This is Me' to celebrate National Poetry Day that was held before half-term. Mrs Sewell was delighted to read the submissions over half-term and said how impressed she had been by the variety and different approaches taken. Well done to everyone involved and in particular to the girls who were announced the winners this morning. National Poetry Day is the annual national celebration on the first Thursday of October each year that encourages all to enjoy, discover and share poetry.
